ABOUT 718 BROOKLYN DAY
A Borough-Wide Celebration, Built From the Block Up
718 Brooklyn Day is more than just a date on the calendar — it’s a borough-wide movement. Happening every July 18, this annual celebration was created to shine a light on the people, places, and stories that make Brooklyn Brooklyn.
From the stoops of Bed-Stuy to the skate parks of Williamsburg, this is a day to rep your roots, support local businesses, and celebrate the culture that’s always set this borough apart.

Why It Matters
Brooklyn has always been bold. Always been brave. But too often, its real voices are left out of the spotlight.
718 Brooklyn Day flips that. We’re giving the mic back to the neighborhoods — no corporate scripts, no political agendas. Just real love for our blocks, our people, and our history.
Whether you’re a bartender, barber, DJ, muralist, bodega owner, or borough native — this day is yours.

What Happens on 718 Day?
On July 18, the entire borough activates:
-
$7.18 specials from bars, restaurants & small businesses
-
Block parties, pop-ups, and community events
-
A borough-wide toast at 7:18 PM
-
Exclusive Brooklyn merch and giveaways
-
Shoutouts to every ‘hood — from DUMBO to Canarsie
Everything you love about Brooklyn — turned all the way up.

Who's Behind It?
This is a celebration made by Brooklyn, for Brooklyn. Built from the sidewalk up — by neighbors, creatives, nightlife lovers, bar owners, and local voices who wanted one day to reflect everything the borough stands for.
We’ve got no big sponsors, no cookie-cutter campaigns — just a whole lot of Brooklyn love and a plan to make this a tradition for generations.
